The Streets in the United States Advanced Solar Panels Will be Installed - Missouri Department of Transportation, the United States has announced plans to install solar panels on the road. This solar panel installation is the application of advanced technology to the streets to absorb electrical energy and help the road users.

Reported Motor1 Sunday (10/07/2016), this is a high-tech alternative to concrete and asphalt roads. Hexagon-shaped solar panels will capture energy from the sun, and can re-channel that energy into some power lines. Interestingly, the panel is equipped with LEDs. The LED will display the message road signs and speed limits.

Other advantages of solar panels are able to melt snow and ice in the winter so that it can significantly reduce maintenance costs. The first solar panels will be installed on Historic Route 66 Welcome Centre. It is estimated that this technology began to be applied at the end of this year.
